Amazon’s Luna cloud gaming service is rolling out to Fire TV users in the US

    Luna

Cloud gaming is the latest battleground for Google, Amazon, Apple, Nvidia, and Microsoft, with each of the brands mentioned fighting for supremacy. The newest addition is Amazon’s Luna that launched initially via an invite-only early-access program in late 2020 but is now expanding its reach to Fire TV users in the US.

While still limited to the US, Amazon Fire TV users can download the app and sign up for a 7-day trial to the Luna+ channel, which will cost $6 per month thereafter.

So long as you have one of the eligible devices listed below and have an internet speed of 10Mbps or greater, you’ll be able to enjoy gaming in up to 1080p resolution and 60fps.

    • Fire TV Stick Lite
    • Fire TV Stick (2nd & 3rd Gen)
    • Fire TV Cube
    • Toshiba Fire TV Edition
    • Insignia Fire TV Edition

Naturally, you’ll also need a gaming controller such as Amazon’s own controller that costs $70 and is said to restrict latency to 30ms, or a third-party Bluetooth controller. Are you signing up for Luna?
