An Xbox Series X signed by Phil Spencer is on eBay for over $2500

We at Windows Central love all things Xbox, so we were pretty excited to spot an Xbox Series X on eBay that has been signed by none other than Head of Xbox Phil Spencer himself. According to the seller, the console is brand new, with it “only opened so Phil Spencer could sign the Xbox Series X console.” It hasn’t even been turned on before! You can check out the listing yourself here.

Naturally, such a unique console has garnered a lot of attention from Xbox enthusiasts and passionate collectors alike. As a result of this, the price of the console has blown up to over $2,500, with the current bid at the time of writing resting at $2,700. We’re not sure how fierce the bidding war will get, but we’re excited to see just how high this Xbox Series X will go. Anyone want to make a bet?

What we love most about this ordeal, though, is that the money from this sale is going to a neat cause. The listing page states that 100% of the profit from this Xbox Series X is going towards the New York Videogame Critics Circle organization. This organization mentors young teenagers and adults and also offers scholarships and paid internships, while also doing community outreach in low-income communities. Additionally, the organization also mentors older adults in technological fields and helps students land jobs in the game industry and games journalists. Overall, the New York Videogame Critics Circle sounds like a fantastic group, and we’re glad that it’s about to get a big donation thanks to the upcoming sale of this special Xbox Series X.

The 4K ready, 120 FPS-capable Xbox Series X is available now for $500. If you’d prefer something more affordable, check out the $300 Xbox Series S. Notably, the Xbox Series S will be the cheapest way to play free-to-play console games soon thanks to Microsoft’s plans to remove Xbox Live Gold requirements on those titles.
