The 10.9-inch iPad is expected to go into production in the last quarter of 2021 and release the next year. The iPad Pro and the MacBook Pro models are expected to launch this year.
In other news, Apple may be working on a magnetic connector for the iPhone in place of the Lightning connector. The tech giant has been granted a patent by the US Patent & Trademark Office this week for a new magnetic connector that can charge the iPhone.
The patent document suggests that the new magnetic connector will be capable for transferring power to iPhones and will also support data transfer. Apple recently brought the MagSafe charging based on Qi-technology to iPhones with iPhone 12 series. Also, the company was expected to remove the Lightning port from the future iPhones. However, a recent report surfaced online claiming that Apple will keep the existing Lightning connector for another year.
