AT&T has announced that its refreshed its DataConnect plans with more data and 5G access also come with lower monthly payments. This get-more-for-less strategy may play with customers looking for a dedicated data connection for their tablet, laptop, or hotspot, especially with the 15GB/$60 plan dropping to $50 monthly with an increased data allowance of 25GB. We’ve got more details for you after the break.

With the entry-level plan dropping to $50 monthly and sporting a 25GB data allowance with 5G access, the $85 tier also gets a similar refresh. Instead of getting 35GB for $85 monthly, you can get an addition 5GB of data for $75 which means you’ll save $10 monthly – if you sign up for paperless billing and automatic payments. International roaming is a tad pricey thanks to its starting rate of $70 for just 2GB of data, while national overage comes in at $10 for a couple of gigabytes worth of data. If you are regularly going over the limit the costs will soon add up.

You just need an AT&T-compatible device to make use of the refreshed DataConnect plans, and if you don’t have one the carrier will be happy to sell you a tablet to get on with, although the only 5G-capable Android tablet around is Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S7+ 5G.
