Denon Home Sound Bar 550 has Dolby Atmos and AirPlay 2 support

Announced at the 2021 Consumer Electronics Show, the new Denon Home Sound Bar 550 is the latest HEOS speaker with Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res audio, and AirPlay 2.

The Denon HEOS platform hopes to compete with Sonos with wireless whole-home audio and home theater systems. The Denon Home Sound Bar 550 is a compact sound bar with plenty of intelligent features.

The headlining feature is Dolby Atmos support. Users can get full 3D audio from the tiny sound bar and can connect rear speakers and a subwoofer for more immersion.

Other features include Google Assistant support, Hi-Res audio, and multiple music apps like Pandora, Tidal, and Apple Music. You’ll even be able to connect an external drive filled with your personal Hi-Res audio collection.
