    The Android 12 beta program has been announced for eligible Pixel handsets and we’ve already seen that the Nokia X20 will jump on board some time during Q3 of 2021, but it’s also available for the new OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. The Android 12 beta firmware is already available to download and we’ve got the links and instructions for you after the break.

    Before we get to the links, it’s important to remember that this is beta firmware and that there are bugs present with the following issues having already been found:

    • All data will be cleared while flashing the build
    • Video call function is not available
    • Fingerprint unlock and face unlock are unavailable
    • Certain UI screens look less than desirable
    • Some apps may not function as expected
    • System stability issues

    If the OnePlus 9 or OnePlus 9 Pro is your daily driver it’s advised to wait for the stable Android 12 release, while the T-Mobile and Verizon variants are’s compatible with the Android 12 build currently. That being said, for the intrepid flasher (not that) we have the download links and instructions for you below. First, make sure that your device has at least 30% battery left and that there is a minimum of 3GB of free storage.

    Note: This upgrade method will erase all the contents of the phone, please be sure to backup first.

    Instructions:

    1. Download the latest ROM upgrade zip package from the specified server.
    2. Copy the ROM upgrade package to the phone storage.
    3. Go to Settings -> System -> System Updates -> Click top right icon -> Local upgrade -> Click on the corresponding installation package -> Upgrade -> System upgrade completed to 100%.
    4. After the upgrade is complete, click Restart.
    5. Update successful.

    If, once you’ve installed the update you decide that you’d prefer to rollback to Android 11/OxygenOS 11, we’ve got the instructions for you below:

    Note: This upgrade method will erase all the contents of the phone, please be sure to backup first.

    1. Download the latest ROM upgrade zip package from the specified server.
    2. Copy the Rollback package to the phone storage.
    3. Install this apk. You’ll need it to roll back. Then, open the app -> tap the top-right gear icon -> find the downgrade package and tap it -> wait to finish the installation -> tap reboot
    4. After the upgrade is complete, click Restart.
    5. Update successful.
