Elden Ring to feature stealth, dynamic weather, multiplayer, and more

Following the release of the new Elden Ring trailer that premiered during Summer Game Fest ahead of the main E3 2021 event, Bandai Namco has put out a press release that gives some insight into Elden Ring’s gameplay features.

Some of the newer features that will be in the game are dynamic weather systems and time-of-day progression, which will no doubt make the game’s world feel more alive and natural and may also have gameplay ramifications. Features from previous FromSoftware games are returning as well, such as unique NPC characters that have their own motivations and may help or hinder your progress, co-operative multiplayer that lets you and your friends play through the game together, and even stealth-style gameplay options that will likely be similar to what was present in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

The press release also confirmed that Elden Ring will support Xbox Smart Delivery on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, and will also allow PS4 players to upgrade for free when switching to a PS5. Since some games have charged players money to upgrade when they get a new next-gen console, this is much appreciated.

Are you excited for Elden Ring to arrive on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One consoles, and Windows 10 (and Windows 11) PCs? Let me know. It may end up being one of the best Xbox One role-playing games ever, so we’re definitely keeping a close eye on it. Notably, it’s available for preorder now for $60, too.
