We’ve been hearing a lot about the upcoming launch event for Honor’s new smartphones and today sees the first image of the official case for the Magic 3 unveiled that reveals a massive circular cutout for the phone’s camera housing. We’ve also got Honor CEO talking up the use of Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset as well as explaining the reasoning behind the naming of the Golden Hour and Blue Hour colorways.

During the live-streamed discussion panel with Qualcomm’s CEO Cristiano Amon, the Honor CEO George Zhao explained the reasoning behind the Golden Hour and Blue Hour colorways that will showcase the Magic 3 series. Qualcomm’s Cristiano Amon talked about the use of the Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset and the collaboration between the two companies since Honor became a separate entity.

The big takeaway is the presence of that huge circular hole in the phone case that promises big things in the camera department. While there are no details available on the specifications of the rear camera setup just yet, an advert has aired on Chinese TV revealing the presence of a punch-hole on the display which housed a pair of selfie cameras.

We’ve still got three weeks to wait until Honor officially announces the Magic 3 series on August 12, so what would you like it to bring to the tablet?
