Microsoft Teams now supports the MacBook’s Touch Bar

Back in December, we reported that Touch Bar support was on the way for Microsoft Teams. Now, the feature has rolled out and is generally available. The feature allows you to control various aspects of Microsoft Teams without having to use your mouse or keyboard.

A Microsoft UserVoice forum post confirms that Touch Bar support is available:

We are excited to announce that Touch Bar controls are now available during calls and meetings on MacBook Pros. Users are now able to use the Touch Bar to turn their camera on/off, mute/unmute their microphone, raise/lower hand, leave a meeting and more.

Since the Touch Bar is like an adaptable row of function keys, apps can take advantage of it to create custom controls. For example, a photo editing app might have an adjustment slider, or a music app might have play and pause controls.

There are reports that the Touch Bar might be going away in the upcoming 14-inch and 16-inch MacBooks (via iMore), but there will still be plenty of devices with a Touch Bar for some time.

With support for the Touch Bar, people on MacBooks can control their Microsoft Teams experience a bit easier without having to uses their mouse or keyboard.
