NZXT N7 Is a Gorgeous Motherboard for AMD Gamers

If you’re looking to build a clean, modern gaming PC, you’ll definitely want to check out NZXT’s N7 series motherboard. Unlike traditional boards where the circuitry and soldering points are exposed, the N7 features a plastic shroud in black or white that’s designed to give a more polished and elevated aesthetic to your custom-built gaming PC.

NZXT’s N7 B550, as its name implies, is built around AMD’s B550 chipset, so it will be a a great component for Team Red gamers to invest in. The ATX-sized board will work with Ryzen 3000, Ryzen 4000, and Ryzen 5000 series processors thanks to its AM4 socket, though NZXT stated that it won’t work with Ryzen 5 3400G and Ryzen 3200G chipsets.

A maximum of 128GB of DDR4 memory is supported. With the plastic shroud on, you’ll still have access to PCIe slots on the main motherboard, and the design gives this motherboard a clean and modular appearance that looks more artfully arranged.

The N7 B550 follows NZXT’s previous N7 Z490 board for Intel processors, which features a similarly seamless design. NZXT collaborated with ASRock on the N7 series board.

“The N7 B550 provides everything builders need to get the job done beautifully,” the company stated. “With an integrated rear I/O and a streamlined board layout, the N7 B550 simplifies the building process. With built-in digital RGB and fan controls, users can create fan curves or control RGB lighting from any manufacturer easily via NZXT CAM.”

The clean design will definitely elevate the look of gaming PCs with its see-through tempered-glass windows. Add in acable management system and RGB lighting, and you’ll have a system that you can proudly show off without having to worry about clutter inside your rig. The board will look great in either black or white PC cases from NZXT or any manufacturer you choose.

The board also features a panel with 10 USB ports on the rear — one of which is a USB Type-C port — along with a host of audio ports, an HDMI port, and support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.

The NZXT N7 B550 ships now with a listed retail price of $229.
