OxygenOS 11.2.5.5 update for OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro brings May Security Patch, camera tweaks, and fixes keyboard bug


    OnePlus 9

    Having announced its intention to add a theme store to the next major OxygenOS update, OnePlus has begun rolling out a new software update to its recently announced OnePlus 9 (review) and OnePlus 9 Pro smartphones. With the May Security Patch in tow, the update also fixes the laggy keyboard issue and brings along some camera improvements, as well as the usual stability improvements.

    The update bumps the OS version number to OxygenOS 11.2.5.5 for both the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro, and weighs in at 130MB. We’ve got the full changelog for you below:

    System

    • Improved Charging Performance
    • Fixed the small probability lagging issue of keyboard
    • Fixed known issues and improved system stability
    • Updated Android security patch to 2021.05

    Camera

    • Improved the HDR effect in some shooting scenes
    • Improved the white balance performance of rear camera

    Network

    • Improved the stability of network communication
    • Improved the performance of WiFi connection

    Rolling out to Indian users first, the OxygenOS 11.2.5.5 update should become available via OTA to other regions over the coming days. It may be worth your while heading over to Settings, System, and tapping on System Updates to check if you can give the software server a nudge.
