While Resident Evil Village is certainly more action-oriented than its predecessor, this entry (especially during your first playthrough) is still filled with the tense item and resource management the series is famous for. However, in classic Resident Evil fashion there are some extra goodies rewarded upon completing the game that can potentially alleviate the stress of running out of precious ammunition during terrifying encounters. Here’s everything you need to know about unlocking unlimited ammo in Resident Evil Village.
How to unlock the Extra Content Shop
Before you can experience the magic of unlimited ammo in Resident Evil Village you must first complete the game’s story to unlock Challenges and the Extra Content Shop. These post-game bonuses introduce a host of exciting new goals and incentives designed to encourage multiple playthroughs. Completing the various challenges in Story mode and The Mercenaries will reward you with Challenge Points, which can be used to unlock new weapons, concept art, and unlimited ammo for individual weapons.
How to unlock unlimited ammo for a weapon
To earn the ability to spend your hard-earned Challenge Points on unlimited ammo for your favorite weapons, you must also find and purchase all available weapon attachments as well as fully upgrade that specific firearm in Story Mode during a playthrough. Generally speaking, acquiring all upgrades for any given weapon involves a combination of purchasing upgrades from Duke and tracking down parts scattered around the game’s various locations.
While this process is essentially the same for almost every weapon in the game, there are a few bonus weapons available in the Extra Content Shop like the Dragoon for which you can immediately unlock unlimited ammo. The number of Challenge Points required for these unlocks varies quite drastically depending on the power of the weapon. So something like the LEMI start pistol is fairly inexpensive, but if you’re looking to take advantage of unlimited ammo for the Magnum 1851 be prepared to shell out 95,000 points.

The media remotes to get for your new Xbox Series X or Series S
