Samsung is working on a successor to the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite

Samsung has made a habit of producing mode affordable premium Android tablets in recent years, first with the Galaxy Tab S5E, and then last year with the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite that also came with an S Pen. Now that the Galaxy Tab S7 series has been on sale for a few months, Samsung is working on a ‘Lite’ version.

Sporting model numbers SM-T730, SM-T735, and SM-T736B/ SM-T736N, the new tablets could launch as the Galaxy Tab S7 Lite or the Galaxy Tab 8E, depending on which way Samsung wants to go.

That’s not all, according to SamMobile’s sources, Samsung may also be working on a Plus or XL version of the Lite/8E, which sounds a little weird in that it could be called the Galaxy Tab S7 Lite Plus. Anyways, if accurate, it will likely sport similar internals albeit with a larger display and perhaps battery too.

There’s no information on when Samsung will launch the Galaxy Tab S7 Lite or Lite Plus tablets but it will likely occur before Q3 of 2021 so that the Galaxy Tab S8 isn’t overshadowed.
