The Galaxy S20 camera is part of a class action lawsuit

When the Galaxy S20 launched, there were a few concerns over the camera glass on the back. While it wasn’t a huge problem, there was enough buzz around the internet that it definitely seemed like a widespread issue with the device itself. Not great for your flagship phone.

Long story short, many users were reporting that their Galaxy S20 camera glass was breaking without being dropped or hit.

While Samsung was quiet about the problems at first, they did eventually acknowledge there was something wrong with their cameras. There was apparently some internal pressure in the phone that could build up, weakening the structure of the glass and causing it to almost spontaneously break. Problematic, to say the least.

Law firm Hagens Berman has decided that it was problematic enough to go forward with legal action, too. The firm has filed a class action lawsuit against Samsung, since, most importantly, Samsung wasn’t covering the damages under warranty.

The firm is asking any Galaxy S20 owners that have had issues to come forward and fill out a form on their website to be apart of the suit. We’re still early on, so there’s no discussion of damages or payout or anything yet, but if you’ve had the issue happen to you it might be worth checking out.
