Now that all the new Magic: The Gathering cards from Kaldheim and Kaldheim Commander decks have been revealed, fans are already brewing new constructed decks with cards from the upcoming Norse mythology-inspired set, but let’s not forget forget about the tokens and emblems that they produce.
Today, Wizards of the Coast has revealed 28 full-art tokens and 3 emblems (20 full-art tokens and 3 emblems from the main set, and 8 double-side full-art tokens with select Kaldheim tokens on one side from the Commander decks. Check them out:
There’s a good amount of unique creature and artifact tokens we haven’t seen from previous Magic sets before like Shard, Giant Wizard, and various Berserker tokens. There’s also a token for Foretell, one of the two new mechanics introduced in Kaldheim. It’s also interesting to see that three out of the four Planeswalker cards from Kaldheim each have their own Emblem (Sorry, Niko Aris!).
Kaldheim is set to release on February 5, 2021 for tabletop, and Jan. 28 on Magic Arena and Magic Online. The set will be followed by Strixhaven: School of Mages, which is set to release sometime in Spring 2021.
