Huawei’s Mate 40 Pro launched in September running EMUI 11 and now the handset maker has posted a timeline that reveals when users can expect their handsets and tablets to receive the update. The list covers unlocked devices ranging from the Mate 20 Series to the MatePad Pro tablet in just about every region.
The update schedule applies to unlocked handsets only, so if you have a carrier-locked phone the EMUI 11 upgrade could roll out at a later date. Those still rocking the P20 Pro or Mate 10 Pro will notice that their phones aren’t scheduled to be updated to EMUI 11, which is a shame as they are still very capable handsets.
If your handset isn’t listed, be aware that Huawei will be adding further devices to the timeline as time goes by, so there’s a chance that you might get lucky.
