Twitter is working on an Undo Tweet button – a feature that you might have to pay for

    Undo Tweets

Ever since Twitter came on the scene, its users have been begging for the option to edit their tweets. The chance to correct the spelling, structure, or add something has been the holy grail of Twitter users, and just like the proverbial holy grail, it’s nowhere to be found. But hold on, Twitter is apparently working on something called ‘Undo Tweet’, a button that will let users take a beat to give the tweet the onceover before it’s sent.

According to Jane Manchun Wong’s investigation of the Twitter app, the ‘Undo Tweet’ button is pretty similar to Gmail’s unsend option that simply gives you a specific time period to make changes or terminate the sending of the message. So it’s not an Edit button by any means, but it’s closer than we’ve ever been before, which is something, I guess.

There’s no word on when this ‘Undo Tweet’ feature will be officially added to the Twitter app, but with the brand looking at ways to bring in extra revenue it could well be something that you have to pay for. Now if it was an edit button, I think the vast majority of Twitter users would pony up for that.
