Posting images on Twitter via the Android or iOS app has always been something of a crapshoot on where the image would be cropped, the only thing you could be certain of was that it wouldn’t show the part of the image that was important. After almost a decade, Twitter has finally decided to do something about it and is currently rolling out its “bigger and better images” to Android and iOS users.
Once the “bigger and better images” feature has rolled out to the app on your device, it seems that the entire image should be visible on the mobile apps. While many will view this as an improvement, larger images mean that fewer tweets will be visible on screen which will result in increased scrolling.
If the Twitter app on your phone isn’t showing the bigger and better images, it might be worth your while checking to see if there’s an update available and failing that, force-stopping the app and restarting it. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
