[Update: Fixed build is now available] Download the Android 12 Beta for your OnePlus 9/9 Pro here

    OnePlus 9

The Android 12 beta program has been announced for eligible Pixel handsets and we’ve already seen that the Nokia X20 will jump on board some time during Q3 of 2021, but it’s also available for the new OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. The Android 12 beta firmware is already available to download and we’ve got the links and instructions for you after the break.

Updated June 3rd: OnePlus has announced the availability of a new Android 12 Developer Preview build that includes a hotfix that solves the FRP (Factory Reset Protection) issue that the original build caused when flashing the firmware to the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro. The download links are below:

It’s worth pointing out that this hotfix build still includes the following known issues and that flashing it will erase all data on the handset:

    Known Issues

    • All data will be cleared while flashing the build
    • Video call function is not available
    • Fingerprint unlock and face unlock are unavailable
    • Certain UI screens look less than desirable
    • Some apps may not function as expected
    • System stability issues
    • Probability of camera crash when HDR mode enabled.

Update: We’ve removed the download links to the Android 12 beta firmware due to reports of OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro devices being bricked whilst trying to install the firmware builds. We’ll reinstate the download links once OnePlus reveals a fix for the issue that won’t allow the devices to move beyond the “copy data” step.

Before we get to the links, it’s important to remember that this is beta firmware and that there are bugs present with the following issues having already been found:

    • All data will be cleared while flashing the build
    • Video call function is not available
    • Fingerprint unlock and face unlock are unavailable
    • Certain UI screens look less than desirable
    • Some apps may not function as expected
    • System stability issues
