[Updated with Edge 20, 20 Lite, and 20 Pro renders] Check out the leaked specs for Motorola’s Edge 20 series

A pair of as-yet-unannounced phones from Motorola have passed through TENAA certification with some images and specifications being leaked somehow. The two phones are the XT2143-1 (Motorola 20 Edge) and the XT2153-1 which is believed to be the Motorola Edge 20 Pro and will launch later this month to follow on from last year’s Motorola Edge and Edge+.

Updated July 29: Evan Blass is back with yet more renders which give us our first look at the Motorola Edge 20 Lite handset whose rear camera housing looks like it’s taken inspiration from Xiaomi’s Mi 11i. The Motorola Edge 20 series is shown in a range of colorways, the best one for me would be the Motorola Edge 20 in the petrol/green color. Motorola is expected to launch the Edge 20 series on August 5th next week, so there isn’t too long to wait until everything is made official.

Updated July 26th: Fast on the heels of the Edge 20 renders below comes a marketing image of its higher-specced sibling – the Edge 20 Pro via serial leaker Evan Blass. Here we can see a trio of cameras with confirmation of the presence of a 108MP main camera and what appears to be a dedicated Google Assistant button on the left-hand edge of the phone. Other than that, the rear panel looks to offer a two-tone type finish thanks to the shiny camera housing.

Updated: Thanks to serial leaker @OnLeaks via PriceBaba, CAD-based renders of the Motorola Edge 20 5G are available to look at, revealing a flat display with slim bezels. The 6.8-inch display is said to boast FHD+ resolution (2460 x 1080), while the international variant could sport a smaller 6.67-inch panel with FHD+ resolution as well as a 120Hz refresh rate. It remains to be seen what sort of refresh rate the US model’s display will have. Both versions should look similar to the images embedded above.

Thanks to MySmartPrice we know that both models should sport a trio of rear cameras and a 6.67-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. According to Evan Blass, the Motorola Edge 20 will be powered by the Snapdragon 778G processor, accompanied by 6/8/12GB of RAM and 128/256GB of built-in storage. The trio of camera sensors includes a 108MP main camera, a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens, as well as an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x zoom while the selfie camera uses a 32MP sensor.

Ramping things up a notch is the Motorola Edge 20 Pro that is apparently powered by the Snapdragon 870 chipset with 6/8/12GB RAM and will also have a larger 4,230mAh battery with 33W fast-charging. The trio of rear cameras is thought to have a telephoto lens with 5x zoom, but other than that details are scarce. Both phones will probably launch running Android 11 out of the box.

Motorola is said to be prepping both phones for launch before the end of July, so we should see more detailed leaks over the coming weeks.
