Whether you’ve got a glitchy app, rogue battery drain, or you are getting ready to sell your Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, or Galaxy S21 Ultra, factory resetting your phone is on the cards. The factory reset, or soft reset as it’s also known, will remove all data from the handset including emails, images, downloads, network settings. You name it, it’s gone.

Provided you’ve backed up your data, your WhatsApp chats, and images, you’ll be all set to get started. You can either watch the video above and follow along or read the instructions below.
How to Factory Reset your Galaxy S21:
- Back up your data, chats, and imagery
- Open up the Settings app
- Scroll down and select General Management
- Scroll down and tap on Reset
- Tap on Factory Data Reset
- Input your pin number if prompted
- Tap on Delete All
- Type in your password or use your fingerprint to sign in to your Samsung Account if prompted
- The handset will now reset and reboot in a couple of minutes
- Your Galaxy S21 is now back to factory settings, ready to be set up once again.
